    One of the major challenges of doing business online is the cost of conducting a transaction. This stems from all the possible security risks that have to be considered. But this may be changing sooner than most of us think. Digital currencies could change how we all transact. We attended a workshop that took place at the KINU Innovation Space where Mbwana Alliy, Founder and Managing Partner of Savannah Fund, had very informative discussion with the some of the community members on “Digital Currencies and their Impact on Emerging Markets.”

    As programmers our main job is to translate ideas into working programs. After which we stay on standby to make sure that all is working well and that the idea evolves with time and the business. In a nutshell that is what programmer should do. Now of course sometimes, a programmer can come up with a good idea that is worth giving a try. Due to the fact that he/she already has the know how, they can straight away start implementing the idea. This can work well, if we also consult people from outside.

    Teaching kids about programming seems to geeky, which we believe should not be. Programming is an empowering skill that we should strive to impart to our children and their friends, regardless of what they want to be doctor, or lawyers. Everyone should be able to at least read and right basic code to be a citizen of the future. This video just makes it necessary for HUB26 to act sooner.
